The most expensive investment newsletter may be a bargain.

Summary: By bargain we mean portfolio excess dollar returns over newsletter subscription cost.

For example if Boc Portfolio Newsletter BOCX excess dollar returns over benchmark S&P 500 ( symbol “SPY”) over a long period of time say for example 8 years yields compounded annual excess returns on average of about $20,000 then an annual fixed subscription cost of $5,000 could be a bargain. A portfolio of half a million dollars that yields compounded annual excess returns on average of about 4% yields $20,000 (.04 X $500,000 =$20,000).
